What we have been up to and many thank-yous

This weekend we attended Crafty Minions Craft Sale at Aqua Books here in Winnipeg.  It is an amazing book store, restaurant and cultural centre.  In the week leading up to the craft sale, Aqua Books made the sad announcement that they will be closing their doors later this year.  We felt grateful to be part of one of their last events, and saddened that this amazing venue will be closing.

The sale brought together craftspeople of varried disciplines, there was jewelry, skin care products, screen printing, textile art, and more.  There were a lot of visitors through out the day, and we had a wonderful time spreading the word about the festival.  We recieved so many supportive words about the festival, and are happy to find out there is an interest in this kind of festival out there!

Here is Shosana sitting at our table.

We took part in the craft sale as a method of fundraising.  We recieved donations from various craftspeople in Winnipeg so that we could sell them and use the funds to get Circle and Square started.  What was not sold at the craft sale will soon show up on Circle and Square’s etsy page.  So we are going send out some thank-yous to these generous craftspeople:

Inspyred Creations donated a lovely necklace.

Just the Goods donated some lovely all natural skin care products.

Mid Kid donated some super fun switch plate covers and earrings.

Sew Dandee donated a huge stack of her snarky cards, and fun coasters.

Leather and Lace donated some unique lace earrings.

and

cmmk designs donated a screen printed record cushion.  Her work can be purchased at Martha Street Studios here in Winnipeg.

Thanks to everyone!
